Capt. Lisa White is the J-5 Director at the Defense Health Agency, Falls Church, Virginia. She is responsible for overseeing requirements gathering and management, analytics, measurements, and reporting efforts in support of agile, data-driven decision making for the DHA enterprise.
In 2001, White earned a Master of Healthcare Services Administration Degree from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and was commissioned as a Lt. j.g. in the Navy Medical Service Corps. Her first duty assignment was at Naval Hospital Great Lakes where she served as the Administrative Officer for the Branch Health Clinic USS Tranquility, and then as Division Officer for the Health Benefits Division of the Coordinated Care Department. In 2004 she transferred to Naval Hospital Naples, Italy, where she was assigned as the Department Head for Managed Care. In 2007, White was selected for full-time duty under instruction at the Naval Postgraduate School where she earned a Master of Science in Operations Research.
White’s follow-on tour was at Naval Medical Center San Diego in the Directorate for Resource Management where she served as the Department Head for Performance Analysis and Evaluation, later as Department Head of Human Resources, and ultimately as the Deputy Director for Administration. In 2013, she transferred to Naval Health Clinic New England as the Director for Administration. In 2016, she reported to the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery to serve as the Head of the Analytics Department. Shortly thereafter, she was assigned as the Deputy Military Assistant to the Executive Director and Director of Enterprise Support Services. In 2019, she became the Director for the Leader Development Academy at the Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Command before reporting to the DHA in 2022.
