Operations
Operations (J-3) serves as the conduit between Combatant Commands, Military Departments, and Defense Health Networks needs and DHA solutions. It identifies or develops solutions to meet operational medical and planning requirements and coordinates solutions from appropriate organizations. It also provides informed and rigorous recommendations and policy enabling world-class Health Service Support to Combatant Commands and Military Departments.
Strategy, Plans, and Analytics
Strategy, Plans, and Analytics (J-5) enhances MHS-wide capabilities in integrated analytics, evaluation, and requirements management. It provides leaders with essential tools to improve decision-making and problem-solving, directly supporting the care of MHS beneficiaries. J-5 applies its expertise in requirements management, and data-driven insights to turn strategy into action, acting as a trusted integrator that helps DHA build a system focused on health and readiness.
Education and Training
Education and Training (J-7) focuses on leading the MHS in the development and sustainment of a unified ready medical force. J-7 promotes an internal culture of trust and collaboration and works to optimize education and training across the MHS. The office develops next-generation education and training tools, and aims to produce cost savings for its customers.
Medical Education and Training Campus
The Medical Education and Training Campus is the primary training location for Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard enlisted medical trainees. With an average daily student load of 5,500 students in 49 medical training courses, the campus also provides advanced level training. METC's mission is to provide world class enlisted medical training to support mission readiness in peacetime and war.

Joint Trauma System
JTS saves lives with data. JTS improves trauma readiness and outcomes through medical performance optimization. JTS employs an organized approach to provide improved trauma care across the continuum of care to trauma patients in wartime and peacetime. JTS works proactively with Combatant Command surgeons as they develop contingency plans for a trauma system that supports unique mission requirements. JTS governs the Department of Defense Trauma Registry, which collects, stores, and organizes combat casualty care epidemiology, treatments, and outcomes from point of injury to recovery.
