Medical Logistics
MEDLOG develops and oversees medical logistics policy and procedures for the DHA enterprise and provides direct support to the daily operations of our military hospitals and clinics across the globe. They recommend clinical, logistics, and program policy, as well as support medical materiel development and acquisition processes across the military services.
DHA Contracting Activity
The DHA Contracting Activity is responsible for the procurement of supplies, equipment, services, information technology systems, and infrastructure to ensure DHA can accomplish its mission. They provide superior procurement solutions at the best value to positively influence the patient experience, and the health and readiness of those entrusted to care.
Acquisition and Sustainment
The Acquisition and Sustainment office oversees the effective and efficient delivery of products and services to support medical readiness and patient care, including agreements, technology transfer, and acquisition workforce. They enable the enhanced readiness and improved care through the delivery of the right, timely, affordable, and sustainable solutions, using an integrated system of requirements, resourcing, and lifecycle management, underpinned by a trained, developed, and empowered workforce.
Research and Engineering
Research and Engineering delivers value to the Military Health System by providing evidence-based changes in practice and by shepherding innovative materiel and knowledge products from concept through final product development into the hands of providers and warfighters. They instill best business practices in the development of these products to reduce practice variation, enhance pathways of care, improve health, and increase the lethality of a medically ready force.
Research and Development
DHA R&D leads the discovery of medical solutions by guiding research investments in military health and medicine that enhance future warfighter health and readiness. They provide evidence-based practice changes by advancing innovative materiel and knowledge products from concept through final development for medical providers and warfighters. They manage and execute research in five basic areas: military infectious diseases, combat casualty care, military operational medicine, chemical biological defense, and clinical and rehabilitative medicine.
Program Executive Office Medical Systems
DHA’s Program Executive Office Medical Systems, led by the Chief Information Officer, provides lifecycle management for the information technology infrastructure, systems, cyber security, and associated computer networks for our military hospitals, clinics, and other facilities around the world. They are responsible for the complete accountability and lifecycle management of network infrastructure, end user devices, assigned software systems of record and medical devices, as well as their accreditation and cyber defense.
