The flagship product of the eIT PMO, the Electronic Document Management System is a web-based enterprise content management system that allows users to collaborate within and across organizations. EDMS users can streamline business processes and mitigate risks via the use of our single, controlled-access environment. EDMS is compliant with the FDA's 21 CFR Part 11 guidelines for computerized systems supporting the needs of the regulated and non-regulated medical research community.
In addition to meeting Office of Management and Budget and National Archives and Records Administration requirements for Electronic Records Management, the value and potential impact of this system is unmatched in the current military medical space.
Scientists and researchers from across DHA are currently using EDMS, along with several of our partners. The system is focused on the reduction and possible elimination of paper-based systems for regulated and non-regulated documents.
